A man on a mission since 1966 when his Dad Otheneil Bridges Sr, “Hideaway Slim" gave him his first guitar. Even though the sounds around him were calling out to Eugene to make music for many months before.

Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridges is an important link between the past, present and future of the blues. This has always been a part of Eugene's message and the music that he writes, and the music that he recalls from the greats, the elder musicians he has looked up to for over 50 years.

On each show around the world Eugene brings into view the yesterday that he feels has been over looked along the way, but needs to be heard. Eugene goes back to the sounds of the Church, where lots of the musical styles we hear in Blues, Jazz, Pop, Rock and Country originated.

Determined never to let this story fade away or be forgotten, Eugene dedicates part of his show to pay respect to what he calls ‘THE YESTERDAY’, as he kicks off the new 2018 ‘YESTERDAY LIVES ON’ tour. A continuation of the 2017 ‘KEEPER OF THE LEGENDS TOUR’.

With a new ‘Live in Tallahassee’ CD Eugene takes you to the old Juke Joint, just like it was when he was a small boy touring with his Daddy. A performance recalling the old days when you just sang from the heart, even if you were just sitting on the front porch.

So come and join the band and be part of the Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow in the music.

In 2017 The US Jus’ Blues Music Foundation announced that Eugene Hideaway Bridges was to be their 2017 honoree for the Albert King Lifetime Award, “The Lucy Award”, for his outstanding contributions in continuing to keep the style of traditional Blues alive.

Live in Tallahassee Reviews:

‘Bridges possesses a fine voice and a distinctive style of guitar playing, along with the talent for creating original material... A great representative set of Bridges is what you get here – and it smokes’.

Peter B. Lowry - Living Blues #256

‘80 minutes of music and it’s all outstanding... Variety and virtuosity. Bridges’ singing is top-notch... Live in Tallahassee is certain to be a nominee on many polls for album of the year’.

Dan Stevens - Blues Music Magazine Issue 19
