The 2019 Storyfest program embraces storytelling in all its forms, delving into fiction, history, the environment, science and culture. Featuring workshops, a Family Program and eleven events across the main program on Saturday, including Accidental Feminists with Jane Caro, StoryFest celebrates the very best of our current creators and thinkers.

There are four special events on Friday and Saturday evening. Bestselling crime writers Michael Robotham, Candice Fox and Christian White celebrate the dark world of crime fiction in Criminal Minds at Milton Theatre.

At Mollymook’s Tallwood Eatery, bestselling authors Natasha Lester and Lauren Chater explore writing historical fiction with a modern resonance in Historical Inspirations.

Saturday evening closes the festival with a gala dinner at Cupitt’s Winery featuring a very special in-conversation with the iconic and beloved Maggie Beer AM.

Or for the film buffs, there will be a night in film at Milton Theatre featuring the award-winning short film Sherbert Rosencrantz, You’re Beautiful followed by the new feature film Animals (starring Holliday Grainger and Alia Shawkat) followed by a panel discussion with the film’s directors and producers who will be joined by Christian White as they explore telling stories in film in Script to Screen.
